The Hotel Rifugio Prategiano is situated 750 meters above sea-level on the slope of the “Poggio di Montieri”, minutes from the village of the same name.  From here, there is a panoramic view of the seemingly endless hilly landscape of the Alta Maremma. There is an amazing variety of animal and plant life. One can experience various landscapes such as the thick native chestnut and oak forests, the typical olive grove scenery of Tuscany, vineyards, pines and cypresses, as well as the evergreen bushes of the Mediterranean “Macchia”.
